Betty Crocker 1969

Throughout  next year I will be posting some of the recipes that I grew up with.   Some of them came out of the cookbook above which is the Betty Crocker 1969 version.  Some of them were just passed on to me from family members and good friends.  All of them are special because they are memories.  Part of the reason I am doing this is just to have a quick access to all the recipes I love and another reason is so that I can share them with you all!   I was thinking of having a little link up every month if there were others that wanted to share their heirloom recipes… what do you think?  I think it might be a fun way to get to know each others’ traditions!

I’m really excited about this! I was thinking a few months ago about featuring some of the recipes I found in my g-grandma and g-g-grandma’s recipe boxes that I inherited last year. This will be a great place to link them up…thanks! :) So funny…I just pulled out the first one that I want to feature and was dinkin’ around online a little bit before going in to make it and…whadda ya know? Here’s Rachel to confirm I’m on the right track! Ha! :)

Yay! I can’t wait to see them. I may gain 80 pounds this year cause I think my family only cooks heavy things…LOL! 😛 I started out with a salad though… I can’t wait to see what you make!

This would be fun. Love older recipes, the tried and true ones. Big on traditions, would to be part of this.

That was the cookbook that was in my hope chest when I got married almost 26 years ago. I still have it. Made the best cinnamon rolls from that book.

I have been looking for a lebkuchin cookie recipe. It made 13 dozen german molasses cookies. The new reciepes dont have all the same ingredients.
