Food Photography with Sony Complete!

Food Photography with Sony Complete!

We are at the final week of the Food Photography course from SoFabU and Sony.  I am sad to end this course, but I am amazed at the knowledge that I received in just a few weeks!   One of the things that they wanted us to do was to post our favorite photos from the course on our blog.

So now I present to you my favorites!

This is a cookie recipe that I will be posting soon on the blog!  This photo is one of my favorites because of the styling and lighting.  I love the stacked plates and the milk behind them!  Plus the cookies look so good!  With just a little soft editing I was able to achieve the bright contrast in colors.

You may have seen the Cobb Salad above before.  I posted about this a few weeks ago.  I just love this image because it looks so bright and fresh.  One of the things that we learned was to make the food look fresh and to not let the food sit out for too long… makes sense!

This coffee beans photo was one from the very first project.  I couldn’t believe the lighting that I got on these.  Coffee beans are really a thing of beauty!  This lesson was on lighting and I was able to achieve some awesome lighting from what I learned!

This image of Brushcetta is definitely a favorite of mine.  It just looks so good.  The lighting and styling worked wonderfully on this!   The lesson that I created this for was on styling and I just love the plate with it!

These spring rolls were also from the lesson on styling.  I love how the roll is cut open… I was really going for style on this one and I think it worked great!

I am so thankful to have been able to participate in this course.  From the very first lesson I felt that I learned so much!  The teachers and other students were a great help too.  I look forward to taking photos of food now because I have the tools and knowledge to create great images!  Thanks to Social Fabric, Instructor Stewart and to Sony for providing this course for us!
