Another Special Birthday!

Another Special Birthday!

Yes, I had all three of my babies within 3 weeks of each others’ birthdays! LOL  On top of that mine is also within that span of time.   Crazy huh?

This post is for my Baby Love as we like to call her since her middle name is Love!  :)

To my Baby Love:

You were born on June 3rd at 6 lbs. 4 oz and 18 1/4 inch long!   Mommy labored a whole 2 hours and pushed for 15 minutes even though a lot of doctors had told her she would never be able to have a VBAC!   Your grandparents didn’t even make it on time to your birth like they had wanted, but were surprised when they came to see you!   We all fell in love instantly with you… especially your sisters!

You had a pretty rough start and gave us all a scare at the start, but when you were released: nothing was confirmed to why you didn’t do so well at the beginning.   The next few months would be trying on our hearts, but after spending a few days in the NICU we were so glad to be able to get you home.  There was nothing harder on me than leaving you at the hospital each night so we could get some rest. .. so we were thankful for the short stay!

Then we finally got to bring you home!!!  You were so tiny and sweet.  By the time we brought you home you were only 5 1/2 pounds.   Little did we know it would be very hard to bring your weight up in the coming months…
I loved to dress you up every moment I got!   You even had your own dedicated nursery that I decorated especially for you!   The first 4 months of your life you were poked and prodded and went to see 5 different doctors… all of which thought they knew why you were still so tiny, but no one ever had a conclusion.  You were such a trooper though.  Besides the slow weight gain you were reaching all your milestones on time and you loved to cuddle every moment you got.

Then at about 4 months you started gaining at a much better rate!  In fact, you grew a pound in less than 2 weeks!!!  No matter what the reason for that big gain we know that it was because everyone was praying for you.  The crazy things that the doctors predicted all disappeared and we were told you were normal and healthy!!! Praise God!   That smile on your face says it all.

Then we celebrated your 1st birthday!  You learned to walk about the same week and even had a few words by then.  All you have ever wanted is to be able to keep up with your sisters… and you have!   You are such a sweet little girl even though we have spoiled you rotten.  You are so cute and funny.  We like to call you the “Ham of the Fam”! LOL

Happy 2nd birthday “Navi”, “Pumpkin”, “Blondie”, “Short Cake”…  Baby Love!
