This was the best and easiest French Dip that I have ever tried or made. I made it with leftover Pot Roast. It was fantastic!!!
Bake the Ecce Panis bread first according to the package and then split them in two. Take your Roast and shred it a bit and place on top of the bread. Then take some Provolone cheese and place on top of that. Then broil on low for a few minutes.
It was SO tasty! The Ecce Panis bread is so easy to make and love!
I also made some awesome Au jus to go with it. After all it wouldn’t be a French Dip without it. My hubby who love Arby’s french dip since a kid said that mine was WAY better. Now that is a complement!!!
You really need to try this!!!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Leftover Roast Meat shredded
- 1 package Ecce Panis French Rolls
- 3-6 slices Provolone Cheese
- 1 1/2 cups beef stock
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic
Instructions
- Bake the Ecce Panis bread according to the package and then split each roll in half. Turn the oven onto a low broil. Place the beef over one side of each roll and top with 1/2 slice of cheese (can use a whole slice too) . Broil for about 3 minutes, but watch the whole time. Once cheese starts to bubble take out.
- For the Au Jus Just mix all the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30-60 seconds. If there is what seems to be a "foam" to the Au Jus just scrape it off... or you can leave it... it is just the onion powder.
