Bunny Baskets! {Easter Craft Ideas} #KmartEaster #CBias

Here are the bunny baskets I made for my 3 girls this year!  Aren’t they adorable?

I love when you turn them around they have little bunny tails! ;) CUTE!

Growing up my mom always made holidays a big deal.  She still does.   She still has the Easter Basket that she made for me when I was little and she still fills it up for me!!!  I am no different when it comes to my girls.  I love to make the holidays special.  It’s easy to shop for my three girly girls… in the sense that I always know just what they want.  Anything plush, cute and girly!  However… it is not always easy to stick to a budget!  So I recently took on a challenge.  What was the challenge?

Spend 30 dollars total to create an Easter Basket!  Instead of building just one Easter basket, I built three!!!   I had to be very frugal and so I went to KMart to see what good deals I could get there.

I first checked out the KMart Circular to see what they had advertised.  I noticed right away that I could earn $5.00 in Bonus Points  if I spent $30.00 in the Easter Department with the Shop Your Way Rewards.  Perfect!

I found a lot of wonderful items including these cute Easter baskets.  They were very colorful and I knew that they would be perfect to craft-up too!   I spent just over $30.00 with tax and I saved over $3.00!  You can see the rest of my trip on google plus.

Making the baskets was super easy.  Since I was on a budget I didn’t spend a dime… I just used what I had around the house.  To put the ribbon around the basket I used Elmer’s Craft Bond Foam Mounting Tape.  I just stuck it all the way around and then stuck the ribbon on top of the tape since it is double sided!  SO easy!

I used the foam mounting tape to stick on the ears that were made of foam and the fur boa that I cut up to put on around the top and for the tail.  I had this boa from a Halloween costume and so I just up-cycled it!

I just LOVE the little bunny tail!!!

Then I filled up the baskets with all the goodies that I got from KMart.  I always remember Chocolate Easter Bunnies in my basket growing up, so I had to include  one for my girls too.  They were only $1.00 each!!!

I love love these flowers and butterfly plastic holders.  I put the candy I bought in them!

They each got a bunny for their baskets which were on sale for just $2.99 each!   It was really fun to stick to this challenge and I think that I ended up being more creative this way too!!!

And with that… I will leave you with THE END! :P  Happy Easter!!!

How about you?  Are you up for the challenge?
