Birds Nest Hash-browns and Deviled Egg Chicks {PPW Link up YOUR Projects Here}

It’s Project Party Weekend where we share all the great projects that we work on every week!  I know that you all have been working hard and I would love to see what you have been up to!

 This week I made some fun Easter/ Spring inspired food for my girls.  First is the Hash-brown “nest” with Chive Biscuit “Eggs”!  They turned out SO cute and I love the little peeps I put next to it… although that meant that my kids had candy for breakfast.  :P

Then I made some Deviled Egg “Chicks”. I first saw these on Pinterest.  These turned out ADORABLE!  When my girls saw the finished product their eyes got big and they said “aww”!

They were both super easy too!

For the chicks: Just make some boiled eggs and instead of cutting them sideways cut them 1/3 of the way down from the top in a zig-zag fashion.  Then use your favorite deviled egg recipe. Fill the eggs and then plave bits of black olives for eyes and a tiny cheese triangle for the nose!

For the nests: Just bake the hashbrowns with some seasonings of your choice in a greased muffin tin on   400 for about 30-40 minutes or until the tops are looking good and browned.   For the Biscuit eggs: Take some chives and mince them.  Then take some refridgerated biscuit dough and cut off tiny amounts and roll them up into egg shapes. Take note that they will double their size.  Bake at 350 until lightly brown on the tops.

 My kids loved helping me with this too!  Here is my little helper in the kitchen:
