I was inspired recently by all the Easter/ Spring Decor that came out from the Pottery Barn. I just adore their natural looking wreaths, but the Faux Trailing Dogwood Wreath {that I love so much} would have set me back almost $50.00!!!
Here is the Pottery Barn version:

So of course I set out to make my own for less than $15.00 and had supplies to make a LOT more with the supplies (see my Living Room Makeover). Here is how I made this beautiful Trailing Dogwood Wreath…
Supplies:
Natural Wreath: $3.99 at Hobby Lobby
White Flowers: $3.49 (this was 50% off)
small nest: $3.99 (this was a set of 2)
Paper Mache Eggs : about 3 dollars at Hobby Lobby
Paint (this I had on hand)
Hot Glue
Here is the beautiful wreath that I bought from Hobby Lobby!!! I just love their wreaths and the price!
First I took all the flowers off and set them on the wreath where I wanted them. Then I placed some of the leaves that came with the flowers around the flowers. Then once I got them where I wanted them I hot glued them on.
The little nest that I got had wires already on it. I just left the wires on the nest and wrapped them around the wreath setting on the inner circle on the bottom. Then I glued some paper mache eggs that I painted blue with brown dots to look like Robin’s eggs inside (with the hot glue). Then I was finished!!! This was so easy and so pretty!!!
I just love this wreath. It makes me excited about the season and all the beauty that it brings!!!
I think it looks spectacular on my door too! :)

Great minds must think alike since we both put bird nests in our wreaths, huh?
I really like the nest you found! It’s so pretty with the flowers too…so similar to your inspiration for such a better price, plus you got the fun of making it!
Thanks so much!!! Yes great minds do!!! ;P xoxo- Rachel
Love this! It looks awesome. I can’t believe how expensive some of Pottery Barn’s stuff is! I went by the other day and they had a SINGLE bunch of faux flowers (it was a big bunch but still 1 bunch) for $60!!! Who pays that???
Thanks so much!!! Yes I think the prices are ridiculous!!!
I know that I wouldn’t pay that much! I have ppl to feed! lol
Your wreath is gorgeous! I love the bright clean look of it!
Thank you, Tonia!!! xoxo- Rachel
