Remember Cabbage Patch Kids? If not then either you are too young, didn’t grow up in the US, or were very sheltered… lol!

Did you know that they still sell Cabbage Patch Kids? If you go to the website you can see that they have so many varieties of Cabbage Patch Kids available… even ones that look just like the ones from the 80′s! I went to Toys R Us the other day to see what I could find there. We found several and I let the girls choose the ones that they wanted. (((Sing with me now “I don’t wanna grow up… I’m a Toy’s R Us Kid…”
)))
They were so happy to get these dolls!!!
It just warms my heart to see my littles loving on their Cabbage Patch Kids. REALLY brings back lot of memories, and they love it when I tell them stories about Darla and Joshua.

I remember these!! My mom made ours when we were little. Sadly I only have one hand made doll left and one store bought one left but I do have all the patterns for the dolls and the outfits!! Great post!
What a wonderful post, loved looking at all the pictures! Brought back a lot of memories!!
What a fantastic post! I love all the pictures. Especially of the girls "lovin" on their dolls. Awwwwwww! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Loved it!
How sweet! Love the old pictures. I adored my Cabbage Patch Kids!
I had the doll with the red braids back in the day.
1984 was my first Christmas, and my parents wanted to get a CPK for me but couldn't find one, so they got me a similar doll that wasn't brand-name. I think someone local might have bought the heads and then sewn the bodies and done the hair. Her name was Susie after my grandma and she was the first CPK-type doll I had. Even though she looked a little different she fit in fine with the ten or fifteen others I got later. She now lives at my parents' house. Still has my loving drool stains on her
Have you heard of Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, GA where the mother cabbages have their babies? Sooo many memories! I should really do a blog post about it because my parents and I took my kids a few months ago and we have pictures. There's a magic crystal tree and the cabbages live under it. They announce that Mother Cabbage is dilated 10 leaves, and a nurse comes out to deliver the baby while a small crowd watches. People give name suggestions, and the children get their pictures made with the new baby. I've always wanted to get one of those, but they are the one-of-a-kind cloth ones and the "adoption fee" is quite high.
Wow – great post! Loved all of the old pictures, and the video is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
