I made this sign within an hour and it was SO easy. The dots look painted but (don’t tell anyone) it’s just mod podge giving it that wonderful hand painted look! All you need is a
thin piece of plywood or a canvas to the size you like,
paint for the board (acrylic),
paint brush,
mod podge,
scrapbook paper (must be thick and quality paper)
chipboard letters (if you are doing letters)
hot glue for letters
Now let’s get started!
Get the paint ready. I thinned my paint with a little water so that some of the grain would show through.
note: While everything is drying the paper may have air bubbles, but when it’s completely dry they should go away. When dry hot glue the letters on.

You said: "After all circles have the Mod Podge on top paint the board around them following the grain again."
Did you paint the board the second time with paint or mod podge?
Super cute!
