Tutorial: Cabbage Rose Hair Flower

Layers upon layers is best to describe cabbage roses… They make for beautiful hair flowers- with a little crafting help!  Here is how I did it…

Supplies
Hot Glue Gun (which I burned myself on making this!)
pearl beads- 3 for each hair flower
Cabbage Rose bouquet (usually sold in a set of 2 or 3 stems)
fabric covered alligator clip for each hair flower

Start taking flower apart… since this is a cabbage rose it should have a lot of layers.
Once you have all the layers separated start forming the flower shape that you want… usually you can create 2 flowers out of one with the cabbage roses.  I made 3 out of 2 cabbage roses. Once you have the desired “look” to your flower start hot gluing each layer on top of the next- starting at the bottom.
You should end up with something that looks similar to this… but wait we are not finished yet!
I thought that the middle of the flower really needed something at this point, so I added 3 little plastic pearls in the middle affixed with hot glue.  This added just the right touch!  You can put any type of bead here.
Now flip over to the back and secure your ribbon wrapped clip on with hot glue.  Tutorial for ribbon wrapped clip can be found here
Now marvel at your work!
Happy Creating!
